What to expect

Visiting a new church for the first time can be a somewhat stressful experience. There are many questions that go through the mind of a first-time visitor. If your questions are not answered here, please send us an email at questions@gcbag.org or give us a call at (816) 862-8563.

* What time does service start?
  Our Sunday morning service starts at 10:30. We have Sunday School for all ages starting at 9:30.
* How long does it last?
  Most of the time the Sunday morning service is over by noon. Depending on what is happening in the service and who is speaking, it may end 15 minutes earlier or later.
* Where do I go?
   At the left end of the church you will see a maroon canopy with the name of the church on it. Enter through the glass doors and the sancturay will be on your right. If coming for Sunday School, you may enter through those doors, go down the stairs, and left through the door at the base of the stairs. As an alternative, you can enter through the basement doors near the middle of the building.
* What do I wear?
  You should dress comfortable. Women at the church can be found wearing dresses or pants. Men’s dress ranges from jeans to suits.
* What is the service like?
   All our services are not alike, but here is a ‘typical’order of service:
 -Open with shaking hands and greeting each other
 -Announcements
 -Hymns
 -Praying for needs
 -Offering
 -Special music or video
 -Sermon
 -Close with prayer time and worship songs.
